Dee Straub, Principal, Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Structured Cable of VA Dee was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and attended The University of Richmond. He built homes until 1980, when he entered the home security industry and served with ACP Security systems, Commonwealth Security Systems and Republic Industries. In 1999, he started Security Specialists. He is married with two children.
Daniel Dubansky, President, Security Specialists, Inc. Dan founded ACP Security Systems in 1971 and operated the company until 1993. Since 1999, he has served as President of Security Specialists, Inc. He completes technology wiring for Structured Cable of VA, a division of Security Specialists. He is a national board member for GE Home Technologies and a member of the Home Technology Alliance, a joint venture of National Home Building Association (NHBA)/Custom Electronic Design Association (Cedia). Dan has served on the March of Dimes Board of Directors, and is a trustee on the Home Builders Association of Richmond and the Home Builder’s Association of Virginia. He was selected by Gov. Charles Robb to serve on the Crime Prevention through Environmental Design committee.
Deane Dubansky, CFO Deane has been in the security and home technology field for almost 40 years. She currently serves as the CFO for the corporation.
Bunny Phillips, Office Manager Bunny was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and worked with Circuit City a number of years before joining Structured Cable of VA in 2008
Chris Mullikin, Sales Representative, Ryan Homes Chris worked for a local integrator in both the installations and sales departments. He joined us in 2006 and now handles all sales aspects of our Ryan Homes division.
Denise Riley, Accounting Specialist Denise joined our firm early on and has seen our operations triple in size. She processes all of our invoices and receivables.
Grant Rettig, Installation Manager Grant was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and came to Structured Cable of VA as an apprentice in 2005 and now is our Installation Manager overseeing all field work.
James Miesnik, Service Manager James currently is studying computer networking at ITT Tech and will earn his Associates degree shortly. James joined us as an apprentice in 2006.
Eric Gupta, Operations Manager Eric came to the team in 2003 after graduating from Randolph-Macon College and interning in the special events dept. setting up audio/video systems. He also completed summer internships in the design and building industry which fueled his passion for construction while in school.
Frank Brazda, Lead Technician Frank was born in New York. He joined us in 2005 as an apprentice and is now a Lead Technician working in both the Williamsburg and Richmond marketplaces.
Jason Carpenter, Lead Technician Jason was born in New York and moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he worked for a local integrator for 5 years. He joined us in 2006.
Kevin Davis, Lead Technician Kevin worked a few years for a local integrator and came to Structured Cable of VA in 2004.
Bernie Markhum, Lead Technician Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Bernie joined Structured Cable of VA in 2006 as an apprentice and is now a Lead Technician.
Billy Cornett, Lead Technician Billy was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He came to us from the telecommunications industry and now is a Lead Technician.
Tim Warfel, Lead Technician Tim grew up in Charlottesville and moved to Richmond, Virginia, to attend technical school. He joined us as an apprentice in 2006.
Todd Adelgren, Apprentice Technician Todd is our newest employee residing in Williamsburg, Virginia. He joined us as an apprentice in 2009 and works in the Williamsburg marketplace.
